The research group focuses on chemo-enzymatic synthesis, involving organic synthetic chemistry, enzymology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics.
Primary objectives include:
(1) Discovering and validating enzymatic reactivities, and exploring their catalytic mechanisms;
(2) Engineering enzymes to improve reactivity and substrate scope, and developing enzyme-catalyzed methodologies;
(3) Applying enzymatic reactions in organic synthesis to achieve the chemo-enzymatic synthesis of valuable molecules.
