The graduate admissions work of the School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School adheres to the fundamental principles of "openness, fairness, and justice," enrolling students according to needs, comprehensively evaluating morality, intelligence, and physical fitness, selecting the best for admission, and preferring quality over quantity. The relevant information regarding the re-examination for the 2026 recommendation exemption is hereby announced as follows. Please prepare in advance:

I. Re-examination Process

1.The School will publish the re-examination guidelines and the list of re-examination candidates. Candidates should check the website and participate in the on-site re-examination as required.

2.Registration before the re-examination: The School will conduct qualification review and material verification for candidates.

3.Candidates must participate in the on-site re-examination organized by the School at the scheduled time. Those who fail to participate as required will be deemed to have voluntarily waived their re-examination qualification.

II. Qualification Review and Material Verification

1.Materials required for qualification review and material verification: Original copies of the candidate's Resident ID Card, Student ID Card, and foreign language proficiency proof.

2.A printed copy of the "Integrity Examination Commitment Letter," which must be signed and submitted before the re-examination.

3.All materials listed above require on-site verification of the original copies. Those who do not meet the requirements will not be allowed to participate in the re-examination. Candidates must cooperate with the School in submitting the required proof materials within the specified timeframe. Incomplete or fraudulent verification materials will result in disqualification from the re-examination.

III. Re-examination Schedule

1.Registration and Qualification Verification:

During registration, candidates must submit all materials required in the re-examination notice and the "Integrity Examination Commitment Letter." The School will conduct re-examination qualification review for each candidate.

2.Formal Re-examination Schedule:

Time: September 19, 2025 (Friday), 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Location: Meeting Room F East 101 and F East 211, School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology, Peking University

Note: Re-examination candidates must report on-site at the notified registration time. Those who fail to report within the specified time will be deemed to have voluntarily waived their re-examination qualification, and the candidate shall bear all consequences.

IV. Re-examination Details

Re-examination Format: Comprehensive interview, with each interview lasting no less than 30 minutes. The entire process will be audio and video recorded. Candidates must prepare a 15-minute PPT presentation, including personal introduction, research experience, and research plan, with the section showcasing personal research experience, experimental skills, or research plan lasting no less than 10 minutes. The presentation may be delivered in Chinese or English.

Interview Assessment Content:

(1) Candidate's Overall Profile: Evaluating the candidate's learning ability, ideological and political qualities, and moral character.

(2) English Proficiency: Testing the candidate's English proficiency in the context of the professional field, with results included in the re-examination score.

(3) Professional Knowledge and Research Foundation: Assessing the candidate's mastery of foundational professional knowledge (in their undergraduate major), analytical skills, logical thinking, research capabilities, engagement in relevant research activities, the significance and independence of their research work, understanding of their field and research work, and independent working ability.

(4) Academic Background and Research Potential: Evaluating the candidate's academic background, alignment with the applied professional direction, understanding of the research direction in the applied field, knowledge of graduate-level studies and research, and potential for development in related directions.

V. Re-examination Scores and Grouping

1.Score Calculation: Re-examination scores are recorded on a percentage scale, with 60 as the passing threshold. Candidates failing to meet the passing score will not be admitted. For candidates with passing scores, admission will be based on the re-examination ranking, selecting the best according to the enrollment plan.

2.The School will randomly determine the re-examination groups and order for candidates.
